Former Stony Brook men's basketball guard Muhammad El-Amin recently completed a successful first season as a professional in the Hungarian League. El-Amin led the league in scoring en route to second-team All-Hungarian League honors.El-Amin played for PVSK Pannon and was the only American on the team. He helped the PVSK improve from 9-17 to 14-12, and the team finished tied for sixth in the A Division standings. El-Amin was the leading scorer in the league, averaging 22.0 points per game. In January, El-Amin had a 47-point game for PVSK.
El-Amin graduated from Stony Brook in May 2010 after two seasons on the men's basketball team. He led the Seawolves in scoring in 2009-10 and was named the America East Player of the Year while leading the team to a 22-10 record, the America East regular season championship and a postseason NIT berth.
