#7/6 Men's Lacrosse Hosts Vermont In America East Semifinal On Tuesday Night

Stony Brook, N.Y. - In a rematch of Saturday's regular-season finale, top-seeded Stony Brook will host fourth-seeded Vermont on Tuesday evening in an America East Semifinal match-up. Face-off from Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium is 7 pm. Fans cans hear the game locally on WUSB 90.1 or GoSeawolves.org, with Matt Mankiewich on play-by-play, and Frank Barile '02 and Brendan Chamberlain providing insight into the action. The Seawolves, who finished America East play 5-0 to earn the number one seed in the America East Championship, are ranked seventh by Nike/Inside Lacrosse and sixth by the USILA Coaches, both program-highs.
Stony Brook beat Vermont, 16-10, on Saturday evening. Junior Kevin Crowley (New Westminster, British Columbia) tied a career-high with five goals and senior Tom Compitello (Hauppauge, N.Y.) tallied a goal and five assists. Junior Timmy Trenkle (Commack, N.Y.), sophomore Kyle Belton (Langley, British Columbia) and sophomore Robbie Campbell (Delta, British Columbia) each recorded two goals.

SBU is now 9-0 all-time against Vermont.
