Miguel Maysonet of Stony Brook unanimously voted Big South Offensive Player of the Year

Miguel Maysonet left no doubt. The Stony Brook running back led the FCS in rushing with 1,721 yards and average per carry (7.72) and ranked third in touchdowns (21) to earn unanimous selection as Big South Offensive Player of the Year Tuesday.
As one of the leading candidates for the Walter Payton Award as the outstanding player in FCS, Maysonet set Big South career records for rushing and touchdowns. He topped the 200-yard rushing mark three times, including a career-high 220 that he topped two weeks later with 233.
The other Seawolves on the first-team offense are WR Kevin Norrell, who set Big South records for single-season yards (1,291), yards per catch (21.5) and yards per game (117.4) and RT Michael Bamiro and C Mike Lisi, both of whom paved the way for the nation's sixth-ranked rushing attack (290.55).
First-team defense selections are DE Jonathon Coats, LB Jawara Dudley and S Dominick Reyes. Placekicker Wesley Skiffington also made first team.
Second-team SBU selections included QB Kyle Essington, LT Scott Hernandez, CB Davonte Anderson and S Cedrick Moore.
