Desmond Adedeji signs professional contract in Estonia

Former Stony Brook men's basketball center Desmond Adedeji (Landover Hills, Md.) has signed a professional contract to play basketball in Estonia for the VALGA/CKE INKASSO team. Adedeji joins former Seawolves guard Muhammad El-Amin as Stony Brook alumni currently playing professionally.Adedeji played 22 games for the Seawolves over two seasons after transferring from Dayton. In 2008-09, he appeared in 15 games off the bench and had 13 blocks on the season. In a game against Lehigh, he put up 11 points and nine rebounds in just 17 minutes of action.
In 2009-10, Adedeji had a larger role on the team and was leading the America East in field goal percentage (.647) after seven games, but he injured his knee against St. John's and missed the remainder of the season.
Adedeji joins El-Amin in the professional ranks. El-Amin played for PVSK Pannon in Hungary during the 2010-11 season and now is competing for Halychyna in Ukraine.
