JACOBS, KAVITSKY NAMED TO JEWISH SPORTS REVIEW ALL-AMERICA TEAM




The duo are part of a 12-member team.


Stony Brook, N.Y. - Rising juniors Casey Jacobs (Davie, Fla.) and Vicki Kavitsky (Cherry Hill, N.J.) have been named to the Jewish Sports Review 2008 Women's Softball All-America Team, according to a release from the publication.
Jacobs, who pitched and played the field for Stony Brook in 2008, finished the year with a 7-4 record and a 1.94 ERA. She also recorded four saves, which was tops in the America East Conference.
Kavitsky, the Seawolves' everyday shortstop, hit .301 on the season with 28 RBI and 17 steals. She was also an America East All-Conference second team selection.
