HASTIE, FIRST SBU RUNNER TO NCAA'S

Will run the 10,000-meter event

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior Dana Hastie (Wellington, New Zealand) will become the first Stony Brook track and field athlete in school history to compete in the NCAA Championships, when she runs in the women's 10,000-meter event on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.
Hastie qualified for the Championships when she completed the 10,000-meter in 34:14.53 at the Mount SAC Relays on April 19th. Hastie's time was not only the 19th fastest in the country, but also a new school record.
The women's 10,000-meter even will take place on Thursday, June 12th at 8:10 pm CT.
