Kickoff: The Stony Brook football team will begin its 30th season of competition when the Seawolves head to New England to take on the Rhode Island Rams Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.  Mike Solano (PBP) and Curt Hylton (color) will call the action on the new home of Stony Brook Football, Champions Radio.  Fans can listen to the game on 107.1, 96.9 and 90.1 as well as online at www.wusb.fm/sports


Opponent: Rhode Island lost its season opener, 51-26, at Fordham on August 29.  The Rams trailed 14-0 early and 24-6 at halftime.  Junior Robbie Delgado rushed for a career-high 113 yards.  Delgado was the first URI player to rush for 100 yards in a game since Steve Probst, who currently is a graduate assistant at Stony Brook, totaled 180 yards against Brown in 2011.

Series: Saturday's game will be the first meeting between Rhode Island and Stony Brook.
Up Next: Stony Brook will head upstate to face Buffalo on Saturday, September 14.  The Bulls won the previous meeting, 35-7, in 2011
